The XXVIII Conference of Danubian Countries was held 6-8 November 2019, in Kyiv, Ukraine. The main objectives were formulated as hydrological forecasting and hydrological bases of water management.

The research results that were presented on the conference in the form of oral and poster communications are mainly summarized in this book. They cover such fields as regional hydrology, management of hydrological data, hydrological modelling and forecasting, disaster events, river basins and water management etc. These proceedings are expected to promote further researches on the actual problems of the Danube River regional hydrology as well as water science in whole.

SUMMARY

Danube Conferences traditionally are the common connections of the hydrological regional cooperation. These meetings commenced in Budapest in 1961. Since 1975, cooperation has been conducted within the framework of the International Hydrological Program (IHP) of UNESCO.

The conference works are intended for a wide range of researchers, engineers, environmental managers and students, related to the study, use and protection of water resources.
